Why is this information important? Because Wendy’s journey has been deeply impacted by her faith in Jesus, especially when God restored her gift for writing and called her to help aspiring authors. She often reflects on Proverbs 16:3: "I commit my works to you, Lord. I trust in you wholly. May my thoughts be agreeable to your will that these plans would be established and succeed." In the summer of 2023, when her insurance agency was sold, it became clear that her path was set toward a new purpose—using her talents to guide others in their writing journey. Now, each day, she is committed to serving the Lord by helping others fulfill their calling as authors.
Wendy's Spiritual Journey
My journey as an author and servant of Christ began during a transformative revival service.
When I was an adolescent, I had a deep love for creative writing and poetry, but insecurity crept in when someone close to me—my boyfriend at the time—said they didn’t like my work. Devastated, I threw everything I had written into a college dumpster, abandoning the gift God had given me.
Years later, at a prayer and revival service, the minister said something that pierced my heart: “Never throw away a gift God gave you.” Those words brought me back to my lost passion, and I spent two evenings sitting at the foot of the Heavenly Father, seeking His guidance. In that sacred moment, God restored my gift for writing.
Soon after, poetry began to flow once again, and I wrote two children’s books, Ben's Great Escape and Ben's Big Move. But as I journeyed through the self-publishing process, I became frustrated with the lack of resources available to help authors like me.
I vowed that once I figured it out, I would ensure that others had access to the knowledge they needed.
In 2024, I learned even more about how corrupt the publishing world had become—filled with empty promises, high costs, and no real support for aspiring authors. People were led to believe that simply publishing a book would open doors, only to be disappointed. It was through this realization that God showed me a greater truth: when we partner with Him—God, us, and the stories He has placed on our hearts—the impact is far more powerful than anything the world promises.
Now, I live by the principle: God + Us + The Book = Impact. Every day, I commit my work to the Lord, and my mission is to help aspiring authors navigate the publishing world with integrity and faith, so that their work can have a lasting and meaningful impact.
